Fred R. Hight specializes in location photography featuring travel, real estate and fine art. His travel photography has appeared in magazines like Texas Highways and Texas Parks & Wildlife, and newspapers such as the Dallas Morning News, the Houston Chronicle, the Indianapolis Star, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, and more.
His art photography has been jury selected for art shows in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Kentucky and Oklahoma. He's been named Best of Photography at ArtFest in Dallas and Best of Show at the Edom Festival of the Arts.
For almost twenty years, Fred has been a top photographer for real estate agents in North Texas and for OBEO, a national online real estate firm. Other clients include interior designers, remodelers and even historic preservationists.
Fred received his B.F.A. from Southern Methodist University. While in college, he interned with commercial photographers Ted Dayton and Bobby Badger. He's continued to expand his education throughout his career, attending a Santa Fe Photographic workshop led by internationally acclaimed photographer Arthur Meyerson and an Arizona Highways workshop headed by LeRoy DeJolie. Periodically, Fred leads his own photography classes for enthusiastic amateurs who wish to improve their photography skills.
